The light-flooded private flat Pinhais in Porto, the coastal city in northwest Portugal, was designed by architect Marina Werfel. Together with her sister Luiza, they founded the architectural practice WER Studio London and Porto. The heavyweight duo is dedicated to projects characterised by modern, clear architecture with warm, natural textures. The Pinhais flat is an example of the ideal reference for the architectural style of the two sisters. A large window front creates a bright and cosy living space, a walled-in fireplace ensures cosiness and straight-lined decorative and living elements give the flat the modern finishing touch.
The wall design was done with YOSIMA clay designer plaster. The high-quality wall surface underlines the cosy and at the same time modern character of the flat. The colour used is SCBR 1.1, from the colour range Umbra-Nature. The YOSIMA clay designer plaster is available in a total of 146 different earth tones - from radiant white to colour-intensive black, there is a suitable shade for every individual taste. Delivery and advice were provided by Embarro, CLAYTEC's trade partner for Portugal and Spain. Joachim Reinecke and his team at Embarro are specialists in traditional materials and techniques that have stood the test of time for hundreds of years and are now more than ever the reference for attractive aesthetics, well-being and functionality.
