Former noble residence Kempen

Former noble residence Kempen

The former aristocratic residence is one of about 400 smaller manors and manor houses on the Lower Rhine. The historic house with modern ambience has a total of ten rooms. The garden measures 3,000 square meters with its own forest, French boxwood formations, fruit meadows and an avenue of pollarded willows. A wide moat with drawbridge surrounds the old moated castle.

The owner of the more than 700 years old house restored this lovingly and carefully from the outside and inside. The special feature of the location, in addition to the tastefully prepared exterior, is the cool-white style inside the house. The rooms, including almost all the floors, are decorated in a brilliant white. During the restoration of the listed anange, Clay undercoat plaster with straw was used, with Reed matting ST 70 as the plaster base. This was followed by the application of Clay topcoat fine 06, a single-layer thin plaster. The surface was finished with YOSIMA clay designer plaster. A wall design which is free of pigments, solvents and dyes. In total, the YOSIMA range is available in 146 different earth tones. For the parquet salon on the first floor, a bright white color was used, which ideally fits the concept of cool-white look. Today, the premises are available for rent, and many well-known companies have already used the House Steinfunder as a backdrop for image and video productions.
