Since 1982, the self-taught Nils Holger Moormann has been producing and distributing the drafts of what are mostly young, unknown designers. Nils Holger Moormann has now opened a highly unconventional little hostel of his own.
The client wished to re-purpose the barn structure, which had been standing vacant for years, into a holiday home. It was a special challenge for the architect Jan Rösler: The original facade openings were to be preserved and serve as the entirety of the illumination.
With its consistently realised concept of a family hotel built exclusively of natural building materials, the hotelier Anselm Graubner from Weimar celebrated a huge success both from a gastronomical as well as an architectural standpoint.
