CLAYTEC clay paint and clay roll plaster 'ready to use"

Clay paints with and without grain for clay plasters and many other interior surfaces. CLAYTEC Clay paint 13.000 and clay roll plaster 13.100 are ready for use and can also be applied by roller. The paint is free from solvents and is breathable. Preparatory priming is usually not needed. Slightly uneven surfaces can be smoothed out with CLAYTEC clay roll plaster (0.5 mm applied in one work session).

Product and application
Clay paint and clay roll plaster for interior use (not in wet areas). On clay plasters, mineral plasters, drywall boards and other common substrates.

Water, marble dust (roll plaster with crushed limestone up to 1.0 mm), kaolin, clay, methyl cellulose, chalk, titanium dioxide, talcum, bentonite, preservative < 0.01 %*.

10 l oval bucket with lid, 30 buckets/pal.

Amount required
Clay paint: 10 l for approx. 30 m2, clay roll plaster: 10 l for approx. 20 m2. Coverage is generally dependent on the substrate and the tool used.

Storage in closed containers is possible in a cool (frost-free!), dry place for 9 months. Reclose opened containers tightly, use rapidly.

The substrate must be dry, free of frost, stable, firm, sufficiently rough and clean. Pre-treat sandy substrates with CLAYTEC deep penetrating primer and stabiliser (13.405, 13.400), if necessary, to equalise substrates with different absorption capacities. Pre-treat areas with penetrating substances (e.g. rust, soot, nicotine, lignin etc.) with water-repellent primer; try out a sample application! Pre-treat gypsum drywall construction boards with plasterboard deep penetrating primer.

Processing, surface
Do not work at temperatures below 12 °C. Stir the contents of the bucket well; you can add up to 10% water. Apply the material evenly with a roller (or brush); usually an approx. 0.5 mm thick layer of clay roll plaster to achieve a grainy surface appearance. Ensure a good
supply of fresh air during work and drying. Only touch up patchy areas or apply a second coat once the first has dried. Remove any splashes etc. immediately with water and soap if necessary.

Working time
Clean material can be used for approx. 14 days.

Sample application
In all cases, the suitability of the entire coating structure must be tested by means of a sample application of sufficient area. Compensation claims, unless they result from factory mixing errors, are excluded.

Safety, disposal
Rinse with ample water if the product comes into contact with eyes. All coating materials should be stored and used out of the reach of children. Leave small paint residues to dry and dispose of with household waste or building rubble.
